So apparently I bragged one too many times that my kid only pooped once, maybe twice a week. He's now started pooping every day, big nasty poops that shoot up his back and all over my favorite sleepers to dress him in. This has led to me ranting in the bathroom while I scrub poop out of undershirts, sleepers, and changing pads so they don't stain before I even get breakfast; howling "This is unfair!" like Stephane Dion.

After only a few days of this, I smartened up and started putting him in his cloth diapers as soon as we woke up (we use disposables overnight so I don't have to change diapers five times during the night). These things are amazing - nothing ever escapes the diaper (Mother-ease brand, if anyone's interested). It is a bit more work - a little extra laundry every week - but at least I'm not scrubbing poop stains every day. Thank goodness!
