Well, we knew this was coming.

In my opinion, this has got to be about the most shameful bit of political advertising I've ever seen. Besides completely missing the point of Harper's announcement about having a larger military presence in the cities, it takes the time to slag our men and women in uniform. Are the Liberals saying we're not safe from our own forces? That our men and women who fight for freedom all over the world would destroy our freedom here? And while we're on the subject, let's not forget who exactly it was who declared martial law that one time.

No, the point of Harper's announcement was that having military personnel in our cities would allow them to help us more efficiently - help us battle and recover from snowstorms, forest fires, ice storms, floods, and other disasters, both natural and man-made.

THIS is part of the thankless job our forces do for us. Saving OUR asses, only to be slammed as a danger to the country they serve by a desperate party hoping to pick up a few points in the polls.

For shame.
