I was just watching Question Period (trying to catch up on some knitting) and I CANNOT BELIEVE what Ken Dryden said. Rona Ambrose was asking about childcare and why no other choices for parents are being supported in the Liberal Daycare program.
Dryden had the NERVE to suggest that the Conservatives were pitting families against each other in the daycare fight. Can I remind everyone the words of Dryden last year? The one about how we would be, and I quote, "[wasting] the time, the opportunity and the possibility of the early years" if we weren't putting our kids in daycare?
And who exactly is pitting families against each other with the inflammatory rhetoric?
I don't know about Ken, but I've read the Conservative position on childcare, and it seems to me that the emphasis is on letting people make their own choices and not judging one method of raising your children to be superior.
Ooh, he makes me mad.
