I've been trying to teach that cats things like, Let the humans cut your claws for treats! and Scratch the scratching post for treats! and other such things.

One thing I've been trying to teach them is not to be afraid of water. Though cats are generally very clean animals, sometimes they just get into something and need to be washed, and we'd prefer to be able to do it without full body armour.

Unintended consequence? George loves playing in his water dish now. He's splashed every last drop out onto the kitchen floor three times today. No wonder Jayne's been trying to drink from the toilet.
