OK, I take back what I said before. Podcasting is "teh awesome".

Instead of bothering with political podcasts, I found some really great music podcasts and treated it more like what Dave explained to me in his comments - time-shifted global radio.

It is fantastic - I found some really good podcasts through iTunes and sites like Podcast Alley, which have rankings I can look at to tell me what people are enjoying - less effort for me to dig the gems from the dreck.

New favorites: CBC Radio 3 (new and rising Canadian artists - hip hop, pop, rock, electronic), Spacemusic (ambient from the Netherlands), and Celtic Music News (umm... Celtic, obviously).

And one more, which anyone who knows me will not be surprised to see here: The Signal - a podcast dedicated to all things Firefly and Serenity.

What, you didn't really think I could post without mentioning Firefly, did you?
