Whew. So with that defence date looming over my head and all those impending deadlines, my blog is obviously going to be severely neglected.
Matt and I have both been pretty busy with our work, but we did get out of the house yesterday to join Ian Blokland at Spinnakers (a brew pub in town). It was Ian's going-away party I guess, since tomorrow he watches as other people pack up for him. Ah, the joys of a new job which will pay your moving expenses. Ian's heading back to Alberta to teach at one of the little colleges, the name of which escapes me right now. Of course, he is leaving beautiful, sunny Victoria for soggy Alberta. Sucker! I mean, we'll miss you, Ian!
I've cooked up a huge batch of chili tonight and I'm just taking the chance to update my blog and my webpages. I made enough chili to feed a small army, which means we should have it polished off by 1 p.m. tomorrow. Sigh. I've also re-done a bunch of photo webpages that I had originally put up on Flickr, but since Flickr unceremoniously dumped me on my butt in the middle of a photo upload, I've discovered that the upload limits are waaaaaay too small for someone who takes as many photos as I do (and that's not a lot) unless you buy a Pro account. Hrmph. I knew we had our own webpage for a reason.
