After going home for Alana and Shane's wedding reception this past weekend and staying till 2 am to help my parents clean up, I pretty much resurrected my nearly-dead cold - hence the lack of updates, still. However, the cold's almost gone again, and while it's not yet sunny in Victoria, it ain't raining either. I felt good enough today that I started to clean up the giant half-unpacked mess in the living room, AND made dinner. So, I should definitely have something up sometime this weekend.
While I was going through my laundry pile I found some Cuban money tucked in one of my pants pockets. It was kind of a "D'oh!" moment as you can't exchange Cuban tourist money anywhere outside of Cuba, and I had spent every last Cuban dime I had down there to avoid bringing back (what amounts to) Monopoly money. However, I was also kind of kicking myself for not having brought back a three-dollar bill, and now I have one, so yay!
I've been itching to get back to some political blogging as well; it looks like there may be some exciting times ahead with almost every party either threatening to bring about an election, or preparing for an election. There has also been some news that has been getting my hackles up; I pretty much agree with what Sean McCormick has written here at PolSpy.
