Check out the new home decoration!

That's right, we got tin foil blinds. It has been baking hot in Victoria. In fact, on Friday we set an all-time high temperature. Not just the high for July 24ths, or in July, but EVER. Like, since they started recording temperatures here. I think our apartment must be very near that record temperature (35.3 degrees Celsius), but we can't tell because the temperature gauge on our thermostat cannot physically go any higher.

I'm wondering how long before we're forced to take the new curtains down; I'm not going to even give it 24 hours, because apparently they're trying to drive the good tenants out these days. We may look like trailer trash right now, but we're quiet and always pay on time. The guy next door to us can crank his music any day at any time (and I really do mean *any* time) and he just gets warning after warning. The kids down the hall can have people over to ring everyone's buzzer at 2:30, and they just get a warning. I want to move so badly but we don't have the time or money. Boooooo.
