I keep meaning to write entries, but something always comes up and I don't quite get around to it. I saw a hilarious shirt on thinkgeek that says "I'm blogging this" and I want it, but I hardly ever remember to blog things. I guess you get in the habit after awhile.
Some stuff that's happened lately:
- The Christmas Pickle was found safe and sound in a box on top of our kitchen cupboards. It now occupies a place of honor on our tiny Christmas tree.
- Matt and I completely rearranged our living room. While doing this, we dusted, vacuumed, and otherwise cleaned nearly everything in the vicinity. I can now go on my computer in the mornings without (a) freezing or (b) getting blinded by sunlight bouncing off my screen. We also put my DVD-rom in Matt's computer, which has a TV-out cable and now we can watch DVDs from the couch, as God intended. Now we'rebound to get a DVD player for Christmas.
- We attended a funeral and a memorial service. This year has had quite the run on funerals. The latest two were Matt's grandfather, whose funeral we had to make a quick trip home to Alberta for, and a professor of mine and co-worker of Matt's at UVic. It's been a pretty awful year, and I can live quite happily if I never have another like it.
So it's been busy. So busy I didn't bake any Christmas cookies, and I am quite bummed out about that. However, a friend of ours suggested a Ukrainian Christmas party when we all get back to Victoria after Christmas; reason being that all of us are generally hammered by exams, and then promptly leave to go home and have no time to get together. I am all over this.
